Central Coalfield Limited associated with XISS, Ranchi to celebrate Central Vigilance Awareness Week (31.10.2016 – 05.11.2016). On Saturday, 5th November 2016, CCL organized an Intra-college competition for students the students of XISS. In the opening ceremony of this event; introductory speech was given by our Asst. Director Fr. Pradeep Kerketta SJ and Mr. Dhiraj Kumar, Sr.Mgr. CCL, who also chaired the program as the Chief Guest. In their speech they talked about how anti-corruption campaign are important for our country, and casted light upon various initiatives like RTI , Anticorruption Committee, Whistleblower phenomenon etc. We had Mr. Phool Jha (Sr. Mgr. CCL), Prof. Nidhi Sharma, Prof. Arana Kausar as our chief guest and judges.
The first event
was a debate competition, topics for which were: Can India become a corruption-free
country, The one who gives bribe is more at fault than the one who receives it,
Corruption is the price we pay for Democracy. The debated arguments were
interesting and were able to bring varied perspective into discussion, leading
to opening of common vision and witty thoughts.
Second event was
‘On the spot’ and ‘Digital’ Poster – Making, The posters reflected the
creativity and unique thinking of the makers. How Anti-corruption could be
represented in such dynamic facets was peculiar to watch.
Third event was
the Eye-opening ‘Nukad Natak’ by various departments, the plots showcases how
Police, Contractor, Education bodies, etc. are breaking not just the rules but
also the dreams and corruption is playing with emotions of a common individual. The enactment moved the audience
for a while, and compelled them to feel the pain of corruption.
The ceremony
concluded with prize distribution and a lesson that “corruption should be
eradicated to make our country more efficient and resourceful.”
