2017 - New Year, really? or just another?
Remember
when you were a child and you
thought how amazing life will be once you grow up? You’ll have everything in
control, you’d have visited at least 5 foreign countries, you’d own a big
house, a car too, maybe? How’s that going for you? People keep telling you that
reality isn’t all that simple, about how you should be practical enough and
stop dreaming.
But
I’ll tell you what, it’s never too late to begin again. The problem with people
is that they often overestimate what
they can do in a day, while they largely underestimate
what can be accomplished in a year. So stop being scared of falling down, and aim
for the moon. It might be that dream job, a promotion, your first car or
something as little as a word of recognition from that someone you really look
up to. For no one but yourself, work for it, be more than willing to travel
that extra mile. Step outside your
comfort zone, learn that new foreign language, take that solo trip, or give
your room that makeover. Do all those things that you have been procrastinating
and keeping off for “tomorrow” or
the “weekend”. You don’t have forever;
all you have is right now. Seize the moment and live your life. Plan for it,
and then work for it with all you have. Want to go on a world tour? Start
saving up for it, beginning today itself. Wanted to learn baking but think it’s
too old fashioned? STOP THINKING, go
register yourself in a course right away! Nothing is too old fashioned or too
far off of a dream.
And
most importantly this new year, take a moment and look around. The world isn’t
all that bad, and the people aren’t all as heartless
as you’ve conditioned your mind to believe. There is enough negativity in the
world already, why not clear it up, one good deed at a time? Do good and it will come back to you, in some
form or the other, in a way and at a time when you would have least expected it
to. Recognize your support system;
your parents, best friends or any other person whom you can count upon, no
matter what. Never let them down; express your thoughts, make them feel loved
and value their presence in your life. Not many are fortunate enough to realize
it when they have a chance. Life is beautiful and so are you. Never let someone
tell you otherwise. Be positive, because
sometimes when things are falling apart, they might actually be falling into
place.

transform our world. We carry all of the power we need inside ourselves already.”
